The Unknown Hipster.
http://unknownhipster.com/
Although this blogger prefers to shroud himself in mystery, and one can only guess if his exploits are fact or fiction (or a little bit of both..) it has been widely rumoured that the identity of this artist is none other than illustrator Jean-Philippe Delhomme.
Why should you care? Well, he's a world-famous fashion illustrator and artist who has contributed to Vogue Paris, Vogue Nippon, French Glamour, as well as having his works exhibited all over.
If this is not enough for you, his blog entries are usually kind of self-deprecating and kind of hilarious, accompanied with his illustrations.
Also, he mentions and illustrates a situation in his last blog entry where Marc Jacobs apparently kicks him into a canal... which is addressed (apparently) by Marc himself in the comments:

Marc here. I resent the implication that I kicked you into the canal when you know quite well that you fell in. Even when covered in canal slime one could infer from your odor that your lack of equilibrium was due to one too many grappas before your clumsy debarkation from the loony boat you sailed in on.Please note: I wouldn’t have even noticed this deviation from reality if you hadn’t harassed my assistant into visiting your website…
Also in another entry, he illustrates a man and describes him as a hipster with oversized glasses, which was addressed (also apparently) by the gentleman himself by saying that his glasses are not that big, and that the image should be changed or his lawyers will be in touch.
PURE GOLD, KIDS.
He hasn't updated in awhile, but here's to hoping there's more to come.

Materialism
I look at fashion. I appreciate highfashion and brandnames, but I've never really truly wanted anything from the world. I'm fine with my bargain buys and thriftstore duds. However, this alexander mcqueen clutch is tugging on my heart(and purse)strings.
I'll settle for lusting. But I hope this does not turn into a regular thing for me. My heart nor my wallet can handle it.

goals

So I guess it's time to lay down some goals and reasons to manage my finances more responsibly.
Short-Term:
Brazil for Christmas.
Mid-Term - Long-term:
Indonesia
Europe
Move out, move out, move out. (Out of town, out of province)
(Combination: OUT OF COUNTRY!?)
My counterpart invited me to her graduation from Universidade. The party is on the 31st, and I am not attending, even though it is so incredibly tempting.

hi

My mom is looking for a house to move into. I want to help her and project my design aesthetic of bright airy rooms with large windows, winding corridors and various nooks and crannies to hide out in into her choices, but chances are I am not going to be living with her.
She has even downsized her options from 4 bedrooms (one for each of us and her) to 3 bedrooms for just her and my brothers.
I really want to move so I have a solid concrete reason to get rid of all the shit that I have. Almost everything I own is unnecessary, but I'm a bit of a pack rat.
(I guess you can sort of see this conflict in personality - the desire for bright, clean, airy rooms and my tendency to hoard junk - in the pictures I posted..)
Also the thought of having a brand new house empty of stuff to start over with is soooo appealing to me. The house we're in now is a complete disaster, and I want to say that when my brothers move out, my dad and I will go and clean shit out, but it probably won't happen.
So that's is what's happening right now.
A little bit of a life update; I had my first shift at H&M today (well, not really a shift, but orientation). It's weird working in a big store again. Folding doesn't require a board, and sizing things is considered a waste of time. I could get used to this.
I was escorted out of Madison Pub by security on Friday night where I spent the whole night sitting on the front steps and throwing up, so this is a warning to all you who like to have parties and go out drinking on the town for your birthdays. I cannot go to the Madison again. Sorry.
Aaand I just spent 52.00 on a ticket to go see Fleet Foxes at Massey Hall on my own. I am sitting in row A seat #2 on the left side, so I probably won't be able to see shit. But hey, at least I'll be able to hear? (I'm right by a speaker, so I'll need ear plugs I guess.)
