My obsession with tumblr has sort of eclipsed my desire to log onto here for a bit.
Sorry!
But boredom has driven me back into blogger's arms.
This (long) weekend has been pretty stellar, beginning on Saturday by day-drinking and awaiting the rapture, which as I am sure you're well aware, did not happen (or... did it? perhaps we were left behind???), celebrating the fact that we were not burning in the fiery pits of tribulation with more drinking, and ending up at Sneaky Dees for more drinks, nachos and celebratory tail-shaking to motown, 50s and 60s rock hits. Sunday was spent waking up at Jessie's and meeting up with Erin (who is in town from Vancouver) and showing her around town before her trip to the Holy Land to celebrate her Jewishness, or learn more about her heritage, or brainwash her into fighting for her Jewish right to Israel or something (ironically scheduled post-rapture), then evening boozing on a patio on Church St with caesars, which was bustling with those others that were also left behind (those who are not straight apparently do not fall into favour with God... who knew?).
So after a woozy, boozy, and exhausting weekend, I've decided to spend Victoria Monday at home and being relatively productive. So far I've submitted a book review for publication at the International Journal of Communication, and added more articles to my "to read" file for my MRP. Yay being productive!
And now after going through my internet rounds, I'm here on blogger, make-upless and greasy-haired with a pretty bad sunburn on my shoulders.
