yeah..

wtf why is it that all of a sudden there are all these references to australia and australians everywhere?
and why does it bother me so much?

good question!

another (set of) good question(s):
Since im back in canada and no longer half-way around the world volunteering and speaking portuguese, will this blog go back to the way it was before i left?
full of wit and fashion and music news?
or will it continue to be somewhere you go to read about how much i hate my life?
will i post more outfit posts because now i actually have a wardrobe, and dont wear the same uniform of aa hoody, aa deep-v, and skinny jeans?

will i ever update my flickr?

does anyone even read this any more?

is the whole point of making posts tagging them?

MGMT + Justice

If you're noting the barrage of posts, it's mostly because I'm leaving soon and I don't know how often I'll be updating.
Also because I am running into good music sources.

I like MGMT.
I like Justice.
I find the lead singer of MGMT extremely attractive.
I find Xavier from Justice slightly attractive.
So imagine the musical boners I had when I found out that Justice did a remix of Electric Feel.
(Actual girl-boners will ensue as soon as they put out a video together.)
Amazing.
Get the song here .

Bonus picture of Andrew from MGMT:

Bonus video where Xavier sheds some insight on their songwriting process, how they plan their dj sets and the origin of the band's name. (Also a great time to brush up on your German, and something about Kanye West.) Don't worry, it kicks into French-accented English during the important parts:

Also bonus video for Electric Feel (the original version)

franki chan mixtape NLLR

Okay, maybe I suck at blogging because this is way late.
But Franki Chan has given us another mix, this time for no love lost records.
The one that I have (for iheartcomix) was pretty good, but I'm enjoying this one a lot more.
I'm hearing some Chromeo, heartsrevolution, and there is a Gorillaz sample somewhere.
The only downside is that when I downloaded it, it came as one hour-long song, and have been listening to it without knowing what songs I'm actually listening to.
But I have recently found the track listing:
01. Acid Girls - “Palms (Joe and Will Ask? Early Draft Remix)”
02. Classixx - “Cold Act Ill (Extended Mix)”
03. Kill The Noise - “Hey You (Le Castle Vania Remix)”
04. 30hz - “Daddio (Miles Dyson Remix)”
05. The Presets - “My People (DIM Remix)”
06. Ocelot - “Our Time (Calvertron Remix)”
07. The Count & Sinden - “Beeper (Fake Blood Remix)”
08. Treasure Fingers - “Cross The Dancefloor (Laidback Luke Remix)”
09. Fake Shark Real Zombie - “Designer Drugs (Designer Drugs Remix)”
10. Chromeo - “Fancy Footwork (Crookers Remix)”
11. Heartsrevolution - “Switchblade (LA Riots Remix)”
12. Top Billin - “My Girl Wants”
13. The Loungin Kollective - “Riddim Come 4ward (Herve’s Fire Pon Dem Remix)”
14. Alphabeat - “Fantastic 6 (Radioclit Remix)”
15. Sebastian Tellier - “Divine (Ocelot Vs. Bird Peterson Unfinished Remix)”
16. Digitalism - “Pogo (Beni’s Reedit, Rework, Remix)”

Forever 21.

I've been incredibly cavalier with my money these days.

It's so horrible.
I was asked for advice on dresses one would wear to a wedding (as a guest, not as the bride) and all examples were given to me from the Canadian Forever 21 site.
I am not a huge fan of Forever 21, it was novel when it first opened here, but after a couple of months, the novelty's worn off. The store is always in a sense of disarray, and although you can find some things that are cute and their prices are right, a lot of their selection seems to be heading into the direction of other lower end fashion for cheap stores (i.e. Sirens, Stitches).
However, I've never browsed their site, and given the chance to do so, I took it and am now contemplating an order that would empty my wallet for the next month or so.
Forget being bad for your wallet, I'm horrible enough for my own.

So, the things I'm thinking of ordering?

This jacket.
I'm not incredibly sure how this looks in real life. I hope it's not that shiny.. but I've been wanting a leather jacket for soo long. (or faux, in this case). It's listed at 62.80, but everything's 20% off so it comes to 50.24 and you get free shipping if your order's $75 or more, which it will be, because I'm thinking of combining orders with a friend

andThis skirt, ever since I saw padthai wearing it on whatiworetoday2 on Livejournal.

Admittedly, I only want this skirt so I can replicate the infamous Luella look that inspired padthai's outfit..

But I am lacking in the shoes..
Oh wait, Forever 21 has shoes as well.

Please help me.

edit//

I've decided on purchasing both, after seeing how cute they look together in the shopping bag. =/

Its like an instant outfit.

This is so bad.

new to the internet

What the hell, style.com.
Why is your website so hard for me to navigate?
Yes, I'm new to this whole "fashion blogging" thing.
But I already know that style.com is where it's AT to get current information about fashion and the such. (i.e. the previous post about H&M and Comme des Garcons)
So what the hell, why is it that everytime I go on there to see if there's anything new and pertinent to update my readship (all 2 of you) about, I cannot seem to find my way around, and give up after about 2 minutes of clicking around?
Maybe I'm an idiot.
Whatever.
